EZ Oil Drain

Does anyone use the EZ Oil Drain? Is it worth installing? Just wondering if it's fail safe. How about the engine warranty?

Thanks

I never installed one on any of my vehicles (I used to enjoy changing my oil and filter myself and knowing it was done right) but I remember when these first came out and hearing that they sometimes opened by themselves when driving.

I can't confirm that and never had anyone tell me that they had a similar experience.

Well there you go - can't get a better endorsement than that.

They are a must have mod for the Jeep Liberty CRDs. The threads on the drain are known to strip. I love mine. I just need a bucket, filter wrench, rag, new filter, and oil for my oil changes. Done in 10 to 15 minutes without a jack.

Yup, I too use them. It's spring loaded tab locks into place making it impossible to open on its own. Google "Fumoto Valve" for info.
