EZPass Transponder Mounting

Hi All,
I just received new EZPass Transponders (rectangular) for my 2017 Forester Class C 3011DS. Because of the cab overhang, I am a little uncertain of exactly where to mount the transponder on the front windshield. Massachusetts (where my account originated) did not mention anything about a "Lisence Plate Transponder" for the coach + my Nissan Frontier Toad. Anybody with a similar Cab over know how to place this so the overheads see it.

Mass does have license plate transponders . My transponder is mounted low on windshield just above dash. Its seen by all the new readers on the Mass pike ,NH and Maine pike. Have had a problem with some older sensors at Maine and NY exits

I will try low just above dash. Won't hit Mass until Thursday AM. Headed North now.

I thought about a license plate transponder but then learned that they are pre-programmed if you tow a vehicle which I don't always do, so I decided against that. As far as I can tell, there is no real good solution for mounting an ezpass if you tow frequently. So far I have had no problems with taking the easy pass out of the tow vehicle and throwing it on the RV dash nearest to the driver window. Sometimes it get read, sometimes it does not. In most states they have scales on the low speed vehicle that can tell when I'm towing and even if it does not read the tag, the plate is registered and the toll agency just bills the account. The one benefit there does seem to be on high speed tolls where they don't always seem to be able to figure it out and I've gotten a break here and there.

My ez pass sits in the middle of the dash at the windshield of my 3011. No problems

Thanks. That's where I will try. Will have 4 axles and 10 tires. Won't be cheap.

Just a thought... What if you put it in the normal position on the toad?

I was told to put it in the normal position and that it should be no problem.
Comes straight from the office as I had the same concern and called about it.
