tow / haul mode

To turn on tow/haul mode just push in the little button on the end of the gear shifter. A light will come on the dash telling you that the tow/haul mode is on.

On the Ford 450 it’s on the end of the gear shift. Look for the tow/haul icon on the gear shift handle and the button is on the end! I tow a Jeep Wrangler but have many maintenance problems. I use tow/haul all the time with the frog!

So how did your trip go? Mpgs? Any problems?

No problems on the trip. We encountered some terrible roads in Tennessee, but there’s bad roads everywhere. I averaged about 9 mpg, which is about what I expected. Weather was great. We got to Gatlinburg during Memorial Day weekend, which was a bad idea. Luckily, we were there for several days so we were able to go back into town after the crowds left town. The Forester handled great, even in the strong winds we had. The rock guard was a big help keeping much of the road grime and rocks from hitting my towed vehicle. I highly recommend a rock guard for your motorhome. Looking forward to another long trip in the fall.
