Thanks, a good idea. I noticed the water dripping on the door interior also. I'll need to paint mine since the rv isn't white. At least FR put some extension on the gutters rather than allowing the water to run down the sides of the coach. We'll just improve on their design.

But keep in mind the Airplane has no rain gutter above the door,,, if you were to try this you would want no drip extenders !!!

If you were small & flexible enough,,, which I am not,,, you could use the MH door when it is raining ???

I just went up a ladder to take a good look at my gutter extenders. Found a soft spot in the painted over caulk right in front of the driver's side guttter extension. Quickly repaired and recaulked as we are expecting heavy rain within 24 hours.
Thanks,
Besides the PVC pipe extenders, I don't see a good looking solution to this problem. Perhaps if an attached rain gutter can be fabricated to run down in front of the cabover window to the bottom lip and run along the trim following it down to bottom of the MH? That probably wouldn't look good either??

I did the same but started with a 90 degree forward facing elbow over the poorly placed FR spigots and then ran a 5" straight piece that now empties the run off water into the cab-over run off channel. Works great and clears the open door by about 3 inches. I just pressed the couplings on with no glue and as they are tight against the cab-over they pick up less wind and have not yet fallen off in 200+ miles. Will post picture tomorrow if anyone wants to see the fix.

Yeah...last year was a disaster. Hoke is gone along with the rest of the coaching staff. New D-coordinator Leavitt, new head coach Taggert, and all the rest new. We'll see...Ducks will fly again !!

The Ducks sure took a big drop in 3 or 4 years,,, some of us know what that feels like !!! The right coaching staff can bring them back !!!

Rain Gutter extensions 2.0

Dr.bd has not posted his pictures, so I tried a 2nd generation version, which I think will work. I'm also wondering if FR will ever remedy their design flaw..they should realize that we all don't live in rain-free climates.
This is my new fix.

We'll see, I guess. We have a cedar tree in our yard that might cause a problem, but I think I would rather clean them out occasionally rather than have water dripping all over the inside of the doors every time I open them. The gutters on our Forester are so narrow that they don't seem to catch needles or leaves anyway. It will be a learning experience.
