I am attempting to run "switched power to the outside of the coach for an air bag compressor. I plan to mount the OEM 4 switch assembly in the dash pocket meant for a brake controller and aux. switches. The additional switches will come in handy for some other projects later.
I have consulted the Ford provided builders layout wiring diagram
for the aux. convenience/pass-through wiring but the Ford cut-away chassis (or even stripped chassis) seems to evade (to me) the exact location of these circuits.
I was curious if anyone has wired anything from the cab to the exterior utilizing these convenience circuits.
I found the blunt wires outside without any problem. Since I don't have the OEM upfitter auxiliary switch assembly that means I also don't have the relay and the key wire harness from the switches/relays. The pass-through blunts should be there but might have been put to use by Forest River.
Everything I've found for harness/relay/switches online relates to the F Series but not the E Series.
Even Ford Parts doesn't list the wiring/relay harness for the E Series however, has everything there for the F Series. I don't believe the F Series wire/relay harness will fit since the dash is a bit different.
I appreciate input from anyone that has been through wiring switched power from the dash to outside the cab.
My unit is a 2013 Ford with a 2014 model Forester.
