Here in the Great State of California, we have mandatory smog testing and they visually check for modifications and rely heavily on OBD readings. Usually doesn't start until 5 years from build. I always wanted to change the air intake on my V10 Winnebago.

I would be curious to know if someone with the 5-Star Tuning still experiences the surging on the V-10.

You are fine in any state...even Cali. Just reprogram back to factory/stock strategy before you get the inspection. I would pass even with it programed, it runs cleaner & more efficient with the 5 Star Tuning.
