Forester 2861ds

We are looking at down sizing from a class A to the Forester 2861ds. I have a couple of questions I hope you good people could answer.

1.) Can you order one without the outside kitchen?

2.) How much weight does the auto leveler's add to the coach?

We have the 2861DS and to my knowledge with the outside kitchen is the only way it comes. We love the floor plan and the outside kitchen is a plus. The extra refrigerator space is great for storing drinks. The downside it is only 110v.
As far as weight for the levelers you should contact bigfoot for the weight. We have it on ours and don't have any issues as far as extra weight. It is a great feature and the only way to go.

Hey HopHed! welcome to the Forum. I have the 2701ds one size smaller than yours and live a few miles away in Granada Hills if you have questions. Good Luck and happy travels

Thanks. Do you remember the 2861 you saw at CW in November? That's me. Finally got around to signing up but have been following along for some time now.

Yes, I said to my DW that I wonder if that was you. You got yours from Mike Thompson?

Get the jacks and the outside kitchen. You won't be disappointed.

We did. Still trying to get some original work done on issues we had when we bought it. Minor stuff like one of the decals but still annoying but able to enjoy it while waiting for parts. Very happy with the 2861.

I know, parts are slow, took me a few months to get mine. Now waiting on a few recently ordered.

Forester 2861ds

Thanks to everyone who responded. We are currently dealing with Mike Thompsons in Santa Fe Springs. Have not seen one in person yet. They are expecting to get one in about two weeks. We will probably order one with the options we want. Was trying to save weight by not getting the outside kitchen. Again, thanks so much for all you help. Be Safe!
