I wouldn't be convinced the price is $4500 more. It might do you some good to let the Forester dealer know you're considering a similar RV for less money.

Depending on how badly they want to make the sale you may find they can lower the price enough so that the difference is less than $4500.

Especially if you're comparing MSRP to MSRP. If you're comparing sale price to sale price then there could be less wiggle room.

We have been really happy with our Sunseeker-the things I don't like were minor and I got to"mod" to exactly what I liked! -except the plastic rear fenders -they are my next target! You can make a Sunseeker even nicer than a Forester.

We're actively looking at Forester 3051S RVs which are on the Ford chassis. Our closest local dealer didn't have this model in the Forester line, but did in the Sunseeker line. It may have just been the unit we looked at (and drove) - but it was quite a bit less nice than the Forester we saw and drove at another dealership.

Again, it may have just been that that unit had seen a lot of dealer wear and tear but it wasn't nearly as nice.

It sounds like most of the posters here are looking at the smaller MBS models. Don't know why FR doesn't differentiate these from the 'original' Forester and Sunseeker models. It's confusing, to say the least.

This is the way I looked at it: I wanted a Ford chassis and beyond that it is just an RV. I go camping to be places, not sit in it and veg. I can do that at home. The cash I saved on the sunseeker has taken me a long way. It has had a few problems but they all do. Any way you go on this... Be safe and have fun!
