Fresh Water Drain

For two years I have looked for another low point water drain on our SS 2300 without success. When I open the drained only a small amount of water would drain and I knew that there had to be more water. This morning while changing the in line water filter, I noticed that my drain line was on the left hand side of the canister where is should be, but the water line drain was not connected to the cannister. So I removed the clear water cannister and drained about 5 gallons of water. Seems to me when you open the low point water drain all of the water should drain? Am I missing something here?

Once I removed the cannister which was full of water there was additional was that kept draining. Your pics are the same as ours.

Typically you should have a low point drain for both the hot and cold lines. Open a tap inside the MH to relieve the vacuum in the lines and hopefully everything downstream of the water filter will drain.

I do have two lines, hot and cold. Opened both and opened the sink faucet which drained some of the fresh water tank but not all as the wall monitor indicated there was still a full tank of fresh water. The fresh water indicator probably is faulty and the water drain line is not hooked up properly? I looked at your pics again and my water pump is different. It is more towards the bottom of the coach.

On my 2010 Solera, to find the low point drains I opened the generator hatch. There they were, just slightly above the generator to the right.

The low point drains do not drain the fresh water (FW) tank. They only empty the hot (red) and cold (blue) water pipes in the coach. There should be a separate valve under the coach to drain the FW tank. As you've already discovered, you also need to drain the filter housing separately.

You'll also want to drain the water heater if the coach will be sitting unused for a while. I drain mine if I'm not using it for more than 2 weeks, others leave it longer.
