Front Curtain?????

Anyone here figure out why the front curtain on the Forester has velcro dots that go down at an angle rather than straight across the bulkhead??

It makes no sense.

All the plastic velcro dots run in a straight line until they get to the bulk head and then they angle down in an odd way.

What's the thinking here? What's the correct way to do this?

Seems like that's the only way to get complete privacy when pulled tight but we only used one time until I could get the window cover ordered probably never use again

I purchased the fancy ft window cover - you can see in at night when the lights are on.

There is another dot lower down. When it is attached you have privacy. Yrs you can see through. I bought room darkener curtains and replaced . total darkness.

Yes, there is another dot down lower in an even more obtuse location.

The fact is, the curtain is a rectangle, but the velcro dots are not set up to accommodate a rectangle.

I'd love to hear from one of the factory reps about this item - how does the factory think this works and why do they do this this way???

Must have changed the location of the Dots, my 2012 has them lined up straight. If they aren't where you want them, just add them where you do. You could relocate but you would end up with a little hole in the vinyl, probably hard to see when the material relaxes and returns.

For us I installed extensions to the overhead bunk curtains so we just slide the front closed when needed and don't use the velcro curtains. The extended cab curtains also work well to close off the cab while driving in hot or cold conditions as the chassis heat and A/C only need to maintain the cab.
