Generator! Again!!

I am at the last straw! All winter ran gen, cylcled loads etc. Now getting ready for a trip it will not run the A/C or microwave (separate if course). 1 year up in June!

Brian - what do you suggest? FR already paid warranty claim(Onan actually) for new fuel pump and FR paid due to loose grounds!

Brian- please help!!

Denny

Not sure what I can do. The gen warranty is longer than one year I think. Did they replace the fuel pump with the same model fuel pump? I have heard several people go through a few. Other than that it would have to be diagnosed. Other thank known fuel pump issues, I rarely have issues with the gen.

Thanks Brian but here is where the dilemma is- Forest River wants me to go to an Onan service center, but Onan says it is a Motorhome issue and says take it to an RV repair place. So if it is under warranty who owns it regardless if the issue? I would think FR is responsible!

Replace it with a Genrac! I have not seen any posts here complaining about Genracs.

LOL. Now that is funny. You don't see any complaints because no one will service them so they just stop using them when they break.

PS. Guardian stopped building Generac RV gens. Onan is the ONLY choice now. Luckily they are normally pretty responsive. Maybe that will end with the monopoly.

Didn't know they were no longer made. That's too bad. I have had two in RVs and my family has two home backup units and all have always worked flawlessly. Guess we have been lucky.

PM me with your problem. Gen Set has 2-year manufacturer warranty.
