Generator Auto-Start ???

Boondocking at a Nascar track this week. I havenít been using the generators much because the only time I need AC is for the microwave or the battery charger. Even overnight with normal TV, lights, etc. only bring the batteries down to 11.8 volts.

But today after being on battery for about three hours, and 30 minutes after a battery check showed 12.0 volts the generator just decided to start up and run. The control panel was turned off and I was the only one in the MH. Iím pretty sure I donít have an auto start option.

Anyone have this happen?

At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

I have a 2016 Forester and it definitely does not have a Generator autostart. I checked and FR does not list Generator Auto Start as an option to your rig. Is it possible one was installed as a dealer option?

I doubt it. The gen just did it again, ran about 30 minutes then shut down.

Well, just forget I asked. Did a lot of fooling around and found a “settings” selection on the app. Selected that and sho nuff there is a setting for auto start. Works great.

Is it possible for the voltage amount to be changed? 11.5v is awfully low- 20% I believe.

Yes. 10.5v to 12v in half volt intervals.
