Nearly all RV furnaces heat by propane only. The electronics and lighting are powered by 12v battery power.
If you have hookups, most use ceramic or oil-filled heaters to supplement the propane furnace.

It depends. If your coach has the (optional) heatpump on the AC unit, then you can switch to electric heat. Most people say that the heat pump only works down to about 40 degrees. I've used mine successfully down to 30.

Look up "RV comfort Systems" online. They have a electric element system called "Cheap Heat" that installs into your propane heater.

As stated you can add the Cheap Heat system, all it it is is a heat strip added before your duct take off. The problem is the amps it's pull and what power you have. There is a y-tube on it. I looked at that already and to me it better to change your a/c to a hp. You can also add a heat strip to your a/c unit but you will need to add a wire and new stat. then the blower will only work with blowing over the strip. Cheap Heat is not Cheap to buy or have it installed..... The strip is easy, but you need that extra wire if you can pull it. Or if you have a 2 speed blower you can just use one speed and use that wire.....
