I am sure someone will help, but I have to wonder how useless your dealer walk-through must have been. We keep seeing similar questions pop up, so it seems that many dealers are simply not doing their job.
When we picked up our fifth at Coates of Minneapolis, they spent a lot of time showing us how everything worked, including many things I would have never thought of. Obviously, Coates is a lot better dealer than many.
Is your slide electric or hydraulic?
I think the slide is electric. I can hear an electric motor running when I operate the slide and it makes a ratcheting sound when it hits the fully in position. Haven''t been able to run the slide all the way out here at home because it's too close to the fence.
I didn't think about asking these questions when we did the walk through and when I called them the next day their tech couldn't answer my questions. Other than these two things I think we got a pretty good walk through and since this is our third motor home I was able to figure out a few other things on my own. Our first two didn't have slides and they both had visible spigots to drain the fresh water tank.
Taking the motor home back to the dealer for a better walk through is not really an option because it's a 2 hour drive each way and gas is costing us $4.25+ per gallon here in California.
the rv tech should be able to tell where the manual crank is and where to put it, to crank in the slide.
if he doesn't, he should call the factory and find out.

I've checked everywhere and there is no manual crank (tool) anywhere in the motor home. I've crawled under it, opened every compartment door, checked under the driver and passenger seats and found nothing. The poorly done owners manual shows a picture of a cordless impact wrench attached to something somewhere under the slide. I can't find that "something" or that "somewhere". I don't mind buying the cordless impact wrench, but I need to know where to use it .
Our propane tank is located under the slide. Inside the propane tank compartment I see two hex shafts sticking down (out of the floor). One has a hitch pin in it the other does not. Is it possible that one of those is the shaft I would turn manually to move the slide in?
I went out, opened the propane compartment door, and watched the hex studs while the wife ran the slide out a couple of inches. The hex stud with the hitch pin spun as the slide came out and it spun in the opposite direction when the slide went in. It requires a 5/8" wrench. I think the problem is solved.
Now, if I can find the drain for the fresh water tank..................
Thanks everyone for your replies. You were very helpful.
Look under the bed for the fresh water tank drain.

I sure hope it's not under the bed. I drain and fill our tank with fresh water before every outing, which is every two weeks from April to November and at least once a month during the winter. I'm really gonna hate it if I have to take the bed apart every two weeks.

The bed lid should be hinged. Lift the mattress...the top of the bed base should lift up...or there is one screw.

Just bought our trailer last month. During the PDI I asked the tech how I would get the slide in if the electric feature failed. He didn't know. He took off several panels but could not find anything. The manual shows a drill or electric screwdriver inserted into the end of a motor, but where is the motor??
Tech was able to show me the fresh water drain which is up under the trailer near the axles. Have to take a cap off the outlet to let it drain. Only way to get to it is to get down on your back and slide under. Seems like there could have been a better way.
There are no hinges and the plywood is held down by 6 screws.
well, hmmm. I guess that is something they have switched out there. I haven't seen a 2650 run in a while. I'll have to go see if we have one online.

I was able to drain the fresh water tank by removing the cap from the cold water plumbing drain located behind the right rear mud flap and then running the water pump until it pumped all the water out. Will I damage the water pump by running it like that for an extended period? I don't want to burn the pump out.

Going through this in another thread.
If your slide was made by Lippert, there should be a stub shaft with a large roll pin in it. It may be on the side opposite the slide.

That is not the same slide. Lippert makes multiple styles of the slides. The 2651 will have a shaft with a cotter pin in the roof of the storage box below the slide.
