Thanks to all! It's looking very good now after the Meguiar's Scratch X2 and a few coats of wax. I can live with it now.

Good news.
Filing an insurance claim would have cost you a collision on your record.
Scratches are not worth it.
And not to mention any painting of an area on a large slab can have it's own risks.

when I bought my 09 gmc sierra lbz4x4 dually crew cab long box diesel in 2011- it was the owners of dealerships truck- I kinda knew him.it had 11,000 miles,it was totally loaded with every option, and perfect shape,except it had one small ding in front bumper- he said we can get that taken care of- I told him to leave it ,first one is done.
