Installed Propane Extend stay valve

My Camco 4 Port Propane Tee with 12' and 5' hoses arrived today from Amazon. Watched the YouTube video and it took about 15 minutes to install. Now I won't have to worry about running out as quickly. Those of you that have it, do you keep the extra tank hose permanently attached or remove it after each stay?

Hooked up while camped removed to travel by disconnecting hose from T. Got a base for tank to sit in so it cant fall over.

Milk crates work well for holding tanks.

I was not able to use the plastic snap pins to secure the cover. It's just pushed on. There is no gap.
I will have to check out the base or crate for the tank. I will be using my BBQ tank for the time being.
Do you secure the tank with a cable lock or aren't there security issues?

My cover has stayed in place, hasn't moved yet. No problem with theft yet. Very nice to have. When staying for any more than a couple days I use the 20 lb. tank. then just use the other when moving or a day stay.

I installed the same thing....works great with the BBQ. Not sure why you need a base for the tank. It has a flat bottom. I don't think I'll leave my hoses connected while traveling.

I also use a Milk Crate for my extra LP Tank to sit inside of. Works great! Reason being, when it's traveling in the bed of the truck, it won't tip over and roll. Of course I could surround it, or wedge it between other stuff, but the Milk Crate is a perfect holding container. Making life simpler with less worries.

I got one of the bases. A little harder for dogs or kids to nock over. Also disconnect hoses for travel.

X2 on removing the hose, I also wedged a piece of Styrofoam under the end of the regulator to help keep it from bouncing as traveling down the road. When you install the extend kit it puts the reg further away from the tank and more flex on the fitting of the extend kit where it screws into the tank, may not look like a lot but why take a chance and have it break off.

Milk crate is the better option, best would be a metal strap with a wing nit to tighten it down.

We must shop at the same stores. Save for the 5er and propane grill, I have everything in your picture from the red crate setup with a two piece tree, electric skillet, etc. down to that flavor of beverage.

I use my propane for seafood boils or when a big fryer is required.

The milk crate is the best.

Looks as though there must have been a sale on "red" milk crates, or we are just all partial to the color. LOL. Looks exactly like mine as well. Looking good!
