Strange that the Onan 4K Gen will not handle the load of your camper unless your tying to run everything you got in it. Worked fine on my 5th wheel . Later RJD

Let's get back to my topic

Are there any 28 foot motorhomes or trailers that have the 13,500 or 15,000btu A/C? I thank you all for your posts but anything larger would definitely need larger A/C to handle the added space. I won't be adding a second A/C and the Onan 4K is more than adequate to handle either unit.

Again, we went with the 15k for our current unit. We had a 27' Class C with a 13.5k and it did not do the job!!

My 3170 has the 15k unit with heat pump. Get this one. The heat pump feature is nice and the extra cooling is great. My Onan 4000 carries my AC just fine. I have run both for extended periods and no problems.

We have the sunseeker 2650s same as the Forester 2651s and havent used the 15k a/c this year except for the heat pump and only sparingly for that since the unit is noisy, but I camp New England and we havent had 90 degrees yet. Had a string of 85's but Fantastic fan up front and vent over bed was enough for us. Red your post on how your going to set up the rig and how you dry camp so it looks like you have a plan, time will tell, everyone has different tolerances for heat.Worst case you have a 2nd a/c our bumper hitch brethren dont have in the chassis a/c. Dont know it would help but its there.
