J Couch 26RS

I have a 2018 Freelander 26rs and am wondering about making the J couch into a bed. We first pull the table out and then put it along the rails on the couch and 90 degree pullout. Question is, there is no support on the outside edge of the table top which makes it feel unsecure. Am I doing something wrong?
