Level jacks won't go down 3011ds

The level jacks on our 3011ds won't go down. Console box works, but when press Auto, I hear a click noise like the jacks are trying to engage. From what I read, it may be the fuse, but I don't know where the fuse it. Thanks for any help...

I've had this happen when my house batteries were low. Of course, it could be something else but rule out the easy solution first.

Thank you. It was the house batteries after all, despite being plugged in overnight, which I though would have charged the batteries. Also, did not realize that even with power, the jacks rely on the batteries. Thanks for the response.!

I always plug in before using mine, it takes a lot of juice, and I disconnect the plug last after I bring the jacks up. You should be able to cycle the screen to show you the battery voltage is before you start, so then you will know if you should be plugged in, but that is just my routine that I use and everyone has there own sequence when they arrive and depart...

When I had my 3011 at the dealer for 3+ weeks waiting on a new refrigerator door to arrive the batteries got low enough to cause the panel to stay on with a couple of flashing lights. It could not be shut off. Manual said it was caused by low batteries.

Correction was to remove the panel and unplug it then reinstall. Problem was solved.

Apparently they were running off the batteries instead of shore power so the batteries got low. They charged enough on the way home to have a full charge. Has not been an issue since.

GL...why did they change your refrigerator door? Mine won't stay shut (right side)...they ordered a new plastic latch but I think it more than that.

Jim

In may when we were camping at Mt.Airy NC I noticed the right side door clicking when I opened it. After a few days I noticed the little white light switch was catching on the gasket. Dealer had to replace the whole door because Dometic does not provide just the gasket.

Also they replaced the fridge fan for the second time as it was getting quite noisy. I scheduled the work 2 days before the warranty was up which got it covered. Of course the fridge has a 2 year warranty and I may have bought the extended for it, I would have to look.

If yours won't stay shut I wonder if you use the adapter to keep the doors open when it is turned off. I did that early on when it was at the dealer for a few days. They said it is best not to use it. They replaced both handles but when I took it in to be done they were staying closed pretty well.

kearnsks...sorry for hijacking the thread

I had the exact same situation as GLrider. Dealer left bat switch on, jack panel had power but inop. Luckily I found it doing checkouts (which I am glad I did). The tech pulled the panel, unplugged it for 30 sec, plugged it back in and they worked. He said it was due to the batteries being run low. This should be on a sticker over the panel, heh heh.

The last two times out, I've had to do the "remove panel, unplug for 30 seconds" bit. I keep my unit plugged in here in the driveway and still have had issues. And yes, I also am connected to shore power when I try to put the levelers down. I'm about ready to put wingnuts on the panel screws. Although, one person says to install a switch on the hot wire. Still, shouldn't have to do that.

Right Grinch. Shouldn't have to. Hmmm I wonder if it would be easier to pull the fuse if it's in that panel below the Bigfoot panel?

I do this as well, for both the slide and the jacks
