Lithium install

Hi
For those of you that did or had lithium battery install, did you leave the existing BIM installed in you battery control center , or disconnect and put a new lithium BIM like precision circuits 225 lithium bim. For alternator protection.

This is one of the reasons I did not move to a lithium battery. I did not want to replace this or the converter/charger to manage lithium batteries. Since I will be upgrading to a newer RV when I retire, I am thinking that the technology will have changed such that Lithium (or Lithium like) batteries and systems will be standard and it will not be a concern at that point.
