Low volume for outdoor DVD player

MY 2016 early model has the outdoor Jensen 32" TV and a radio/CD/DVD player. When I watch TV or Satellite, I use the TV speakers as I can't seem to get the radio DVD player to work on TV mode and have the sound come out of the two speakers mounted under the TV.
Also, when we play a DVD, the sound volume set a max "40" is not very loud and you have to get up fairly close to hear it. I have to set the fader to rear as the front wires had nothing attached to them. Will a sound bar help and how would it get connected via the TV or some how to the Radio/DVD player?
BTW, the radio is loud. Radio/CD/DVD is a Connex AVS400BT

Then you keep the TV speakers on while playing the DVD?

I am not sure on yours. I only know I had to have both volumes on. I did have a different set-up so I just know it would be a cheap check. It could also be a input cable loose or in the wrong input/output.

My speakers had been plugged into the wrong jacks on the back of the DVD player - I pulled the DVD player out and plugged them into different jacks until I found a combination that worked. I often work by trial and error😂.

Funny~!

We just discovered that when you have the stereo on and turn the bathroom light on you can barely hear the speaker in our new r-pod! Talk about power drain...
We are newbies so we will be investigating further.

My 2016 Sunseeker has the same setup. I've not been able to get the tv to play through the cd/radio/DVD unit either. Asked the guys at the Goshen rally to show me how it was wired & how the tv was mounted as I had a bolt and nylon mount fall down from behind the Tv. They worked on it while I was at a seminar and lster told me to turn the tv volume all the way up (it was wired wrong) and it would work....nope, didn't do it..going to have to pull the tv off and play with the wiring...

Spent the last 2 hours tearing everything apart. Checked all the wiring and connections. All are in the correct ports. Tried TV speakers on and off, variable and fixed and adjusted balance and fader. Seems nothing from TV makes it to the radio/cd/dvd player or it's speakers. Plus playing a DVD in the radio/cd/dvd player will only allow sound out the two small 4" speakers along side the radio. Volume is terrible on CD or DVD but radio is fine. TV mode has no volume. Radio is LOUD!
Now what? I have a useless outdoor entertainment center. I can play the radio or watch local TV OTA and hear some thru the TV speakers. Maybe the Connex AVS400BT is defective but it probably just out of warranty of 1 year. Had the MH 1 years 19 days. Going to call their tech support tomorrow.

On our Wildwood, when we got it home, I found the wiring for speakers was just laying above the ceiling - had never been connected to either the stereo or the TV jacks. Maybe the jacks aren't connected to the non-functioning speakers.
