More 2017 Forester 3171DS questions…

Where can I find the WIFI password for the control pad?

To watch tv through cable, do I need to unplug the antenna coax and plug in the cable coax? (In the cabinet below the stereo.)

Can the tv audio be played through the house speakers?

The passcode to the wifi for the control pad is on a sticker on the back of the cabinet over my kitchen sink. It is not a large sticker, but it has a hand written password on it. I had to search for it, but eventually found it there.

To watch tv through cable, you will need to use the tv remote. Go to input, and indicate antenna or cable. It gives you the options. Use the one you wish to use. You do not need to unplug anything. This goes for all the televisions. Use remote/menu/input

According to several threads on here, in order to utilize the house speakers, you will need to purchase an rca cord and hook from the tv output to the radio input to get it to work. Mine doesn't work either, but that has not make it to my "to do" list yet.

Happy camping!

Also, when watching cable, make sure your antenna booster is turned off. If left on, your cable picture will be snowy. The switch on mine is in the left hand cabinet over the dinette.

TV audio through speakers.

In my Forester, the TV audio will play through the in house speakers by changing the Mode on the radio/DVD player. I'm not in my camper but I believe it is HDMI ARC. Once selected, it takes a few seconds for the sound to switch to the speakers. Hope this helps.

Same with my house speakers !

On mine this only works by turning the radio on first - HDMI ARC.

Then TV on, and it takes a few seconds for the sound of the house speakers to come on.

Tablet code on ours is also located on a sticker in kitchen cabinet.

Good luck !

I have the same system and the Jensen Radio. The HDMI ARC setting works for the DVD player. I get both the. Idea on the TV and the sound through the House/ceiling speakers. However, I cannot get the tv to play through the house/ceiling speakers. I set it to the HDMI ARC setting and all I get through the speakers is a hum. I tried turning the radio on first, and then the television, but zippo. Nada. Only the tv speakers work. Am I missing something?

Alan - That is all I do for the TV to work with both inside, and outside stereo speakers!

Just reading all the posts the last few months on this topic, it seems these things are wired at the factory in a dozen different ways !

Hope you can get it working !

Try switching the HDMI cable into the other HDMI socket on the TV.

It's a control box that allows the MyRV system to control your generator from the tablet or a smart phone.
Everything MyRV has a little electronic box that communicates with the connected devices.

(If yours is stuck on 17 hours, it is defective and will be replaced under warranty.)
