More 2801 mods

Had the pole one in my previous trailer. Had to make a wooden brace to keep it from wobbling. I guess all of these things require customizing.

sgtlm17: Tanks. I will work on that when it comes back from the last of the warranty repairs, currently in the shop. They should give northerners a 2 year or at least 18 month warranty, since we have 6 months we can't even get to it. Oh well. Warm weather is on its way. First trip only several weeks away.👍🌞🚍

Tweaking it to make it what you want is half the fun! Removing them to reuse when you buy a new unit is a pain though...

Took advantage of the 50'degree weather today. I fixed my AC and Microwave wire mix up in my panel. The AC was on the microwave circuit and microwave was on AC circuit. Easy 7 minute fix all works fine.
I installed my new enamel coated wood Dometic toilet seat and threw that plastic garbage it came with in the dumpster. This is a worthwhile upgrade/mod...what a difference.
Finally I installed my new awning hold down poles made by "TURBS". They are black powder coated and the install was a breeze.

If you like them visit the For Sale forum and look for a thread started by TURBS called Awning Hold Down Poles. He makes them for the members here. Great quality.

I've seen them discussed...it looks like a good mod. But it is a very rare day when I use the awning so I wouldn't get much use out of them. I haven't got used to the fancy power awnings yet and I refused to crank the manual ones we had on our TTs. The DW will be the driving force for this mod...

Electric awning is a huge plus from the manual ones. You will definitely use your awning more. Takes less than five seconds to deploy or bring back in. Love it.

Oh great now I had to order a set I'll have to make my own poles the shipping would be too much.
Did you get the powder coating done on the brackets or did OC supply it?

Not OC. I got mine from TURBS. Everything is black powder coated. Price included flat rate shipping. Very reasonable. Ask him for a price. You will be surprised.
