My Propane Furnace is coming on automatically

FR 2501 TS 2018 with Air Command 15000 ducted AC/Heat Pump. I have been using the heat pump only with gems between the 40’s and mid 60’s with great success. I noticed last night (38 degrees) that heat was coming out of the floor vents. This would be normal if the propane furnace was turned on. I have not turned on the propane furnace using the control pad. The furnace light is not on.
Any one else see this “feature”? My temp is right where I want it, so no complaints. I am just a little confused.

My rig has to Air Conditioners with heat pumps. When the temp gets too low, it will automatically turn on the furnace.

Ok, I think I get it now. On ac current it will automatically support the heat pump. On dc current it will come on and operate without the heat pump (selecting the furnace button).
How long can I run the furnace on the house battery until it has to be charged? I know it would depend on temperature and heat settings. Is overnight (10 hours) realistic?

Thanks rch

The furnace fan is a big 12 volt power hog. One night is possible with one deep cycle battery and the temp set lower.

Heat pump can only produce heat if outside temps are above 45° or so. Below that temp the furnace comes on to provide heat. As I understand from owners manual.
