New 3051 in the driveway

Almost bought the 3051 back in June but at the last minute we decided to go with the 3171 instead for now because of our 4 grandkids. Enjoy your 3051, I know you will.

Congratulations on the new rig. Rookie question- what did you do when in the single digest temperature to prevent the lines from freezing?

Congrats of your 3051. We picked up ours in May and have loved every minute with it.
Had to get our dogs adjusted to the house on wheels but all is good. Only problem we've had is AC quit one weekend, but dealer replaced within two weeks under warranty. Enjoy!

Congradulations on the new C ! Is the Forester a step up or down from the Sunseeker ? Or are they "twins" much like FRs Flagstaff and Rockwood?

I ask because my wife and I are thinking about a class C , and looked at a Sunseeker yesterday!

The sunseeker and forester are sisters. The forester has a few cosmetic upgrades such as tile back splash, fiberglass running boards, soft touch vinyl ceiling and some more things. Both are made on the same production line and both great units.

Steeljag,

This is off the original subject, but you can buy as options on a Sunseeker many of the upgrades that are standard on the Forester. Some dealers carry one or the other, and some carry both. Look carefully at the brochures for both and decide which is best for you. A dealer should be able to order exactly the model, floor plan, and options you want, if you are willing to wait for it.

Thank you Rambler!
We really like our current truck and TT combo, it really is perfect for our use at state parks. We bought the TT new, and keep it under a roof here on our property so it is still like new.

But......we stopped at a RV show Saturday ( big mistake...lol) sat in, liked, and had a loooong talk about the 3011 floor plans. I'm researching that model at this time!

Sorry OP.....did not mean to take away from your post!

Steeljag, we had a TT we loved. A brand new tow vehicle and no thoughts of a motor home on May 1st of this year. On our first trip with the new tow vehicle we stopped by Camping World 1,000 miles from home to pickup a few supplies. We decided to snoop on the RVs in the parking lot on our way into CW. We stepped into a Forester 3051s and boom. Everything changed.

We couldn't stop thinking about it. Within 45-days later, back home we had sold our TT, shopped all over for the deal we wanted and brought home our new Forester on June 26th of this year.

We're still trying to figure out what to do with that brand new tow vehicle.

Steeljag, where are you in Central Fl? I live near Inverness. PM me if you have any 3011 questions so I am not hacking this thread such as what I would have done different.

No worries... we looked hard at the 3011, but went with the 3051 as the door opens a full 180°. In the 3011, the door only opens 90° before getting blocked by the awning support.
