Very nice. How hot does it get cooking while in both up and down positions?

Thanks for the props.
Haven't tried it yet cooking- trip comng in a couple of weeks.
I am sure it will get pretty hot - why I made it all out of alum and steel.
I got the brackets from Amazon- 8"
They come from China so expect 2-3 weeks delivery.
Price is right though.

Did you fabricate the shelf, notching and cutting the 45's and diamond plate? I really like your sink lid and cook top cover. That was an option for us to make a sink cover but the DW wanted it out of Corian. Our stove top is acrylic and folds up to the back splash. The DW tried a wood cutting board top from CW, but it's too small and our range top is recessed. I will have to make a larger custom one out of wood along with a napkin, fork, spoon and knife holder that will fit behind the range top along the back splash.
Remember, a happy DW is a happy Life!

Love it! There is no such thing as too much counter space!

Yes.
12/24 .063 diamond plate cut to 9/24.
1/2 inch alum L channel bolted with countersunk stainless allen fasteners and nylock nuts- # 6 I believe.
Kinda hides the brackets nicely but required spacers when fastening it the to the wall The range cutting board now fits next to the shelf in a slot I left for it.

Total Loss, did you make the rear racks for your bikes? I bought a tricycle for the DW(never learned to ride a bike) and I need to find or make a hitch rack for hers and my Mtn bike.

The bicycle rack I bought (curt I believe- made very well).
The motorcycle rack I also bought but modified it for a dual receiver setup.
Made the receivers and bolted them to the frame and hitch.
A trike poses an interesting problem. You may have to have something made
for your application. It could easily work on a solo receiver since the hitch can take at least 500 lbs.
There is a thread on here somewhere.

Is it ok to screw things into the walls of tt? We have always used conan strips but I'm wanting to add shelving and stuff. But hubby is afraid to damage walls. What size screws are suggested?

I just used plastic wall anchor inserts and matching screws.
