New Forester owner

I recently bought a 2015 Forest River forester 3011ds, and I'm having problems with the rear left leveler. Currently we cant get it to go down. I checked the reservoir and there's plenty of fluid. Someone said it may be a bad ground. Is there anything I could do myself to fix this?.?.

There is no ground required at the leveler for a hydraulic leveler since oil makes it go up and down.
The electronics are all together and tied into one ground. You could have a bad controller for that Jack.

Any other areas that I should be looking at.

All the controls should be close to the pump and tank for the system.
I am guessing all the equipment for the leveling is mounted under your unit on the frame. Could be a dirty or missing wire on one of the controllers for each Jack.

The tech guy from Bigfoot had me try to jump the solenoid. The other day, the same jack went down and wouldn't retract. Finally it retracted using the Emergency retract. I got to my current location and it won't go down to level the unit.

If he had you do that and it temporally worked, I suspect that that solenoid may need replacing.

Check the wire connectors at the switch on the offending jack. I had 2 that worked intermittently and found the spade connections loose and dirty. Cleaned and tightened after rerouting the wires that were hanging down and begging to be snagged and have had no more issues.

His are oil fed not 12 volt. Everything is mounted at one location on the frame. There could be a bad connection or a bad switch.

I was assuming the OP has a Bigfoot system. Although hydraulic, each jack has a pin switch to transmit whether it is up or not.
