New RV won't start

Picked up RV last week. Stopped on the way home and it started up fine. Battery is full, but engine won't turn over. Tried both keys. Don't want to run battery down. Anyone have a problem like this? its a Chevrolet chassis. 2501tsc

Only because I've done it before, make sure it is in either Park or Neutral.

Does it crank when you turn the key or nothing?

Cranks but won't turn over. Like when you have a weak battery, but battery is good

Just a thought. If the awning is out, it will not start. Press the awning switch and make sure it is seated in its stowed position.

"Cranks" and "turning over" mean the same thing. Are you saying that the motor does "crank", but will not start and run?

"Exactly"^^^^, Cranking over and Turning over are one in the same.

Does the engine crank, turn , spin, in a normal fashion but not start up and run?

The statement was made it sounds like a "Weak Battery" when cranking but the battery is good, How do you know the battery is good? What are you basing that statement on?

If the battery is in fact good, and if the engine is "Cranking Over", but not starting up and running, do you see an Anti-theft lamp flashing in the instrument cluster?

Have you tried to jump start the vehicle?

Sounds like it is time for a call to the Dealer, either RV or GM, one or the other. Seems like you have covered what should be on you as far as possible drained or weak battery. I would let them deal with it now since it is a brand new unit.

Well then, time to buy a new one! Kidding...kidding. We assume this is a gas engine on a Chev chassis and not a diesel? Just sayin...

Don't be discouraged. It will be fixed for free and then you will be good to go. New mechanical issues happen.

These chassis must have a fuel shutoff switch, just like a truck. In case of an accident. Possibly it has been tripped.

how old is the gas it might have sat in the tank over winter and could have water in gas if stabilizer was not used

I think they said what the issue is. It's on a Chevy chassis

I think you NAILED it BWB! Even "new" can succumb to ignored tricks-of-the-trade, right? Hopefully it was as simple as this fix.
