New to us 3051S Owners

Well, we brought ours home today.

5 1/2 hours at CW doing the PDI and paperwork.

Appreciate all the info everyone has posted on these forums. DW and I feel like we've read all of them (and some multiple times) over the last few weeks.

Helped greatly with what to look for and to make sure we didn't miss checking anything.

Previous owners took real good care of her. All manuals, even for smoke detector, came with. Many have handwritten notes to enhance what the manual has. Nice to see and helps with the comfort that they really did take good care of it.

CW replaced a door that had some damage. Not much for them but we appreciated it. All items we noted were corrected before we finished the PDI and before any paperwork was completed. Time consuming but not stressful. Everyone was willing to spend the time answering all questions, etc.

Now to put her in storage until spring is really here

Has been in the 60s here in Ohio but that won't last, it is only February.

Looking forward to getting her out and doing some "Gumping" as DW has been calling it since we saw a tag line of "our Forester Gump" on here.

We may name her "Jennnnneeee"

Will post some more pics once we actually take her out and when opened up but here she is at her new home:

Congrats on the new motorhome. We have been looking at different motorhomes for the past year and have decided on the Forester 3051S as the unit that would best meet our needs. Good luck with the new unit and we hope to join you soon.

Thanks. We really love the layout. Long already for a class c but that super slide makes the feeling much larger inside. It is the only model we walked into and the DW said "I really like this layout".

Congrats looks great, so glad to hear they took good care of it. We love ours even if we haven't used it yet, can't wait till Spring. The dealer you used must have been much better than ours, we still have parts on order and it has to go back to the shop for just little things. Thankfully it sits under a cover in the backyard so I get to play and organize all the time. Enjoy hope we both got great motor homes.

For anyone wondering my husband was going to check this one out and he got to it first, small world. No problem at all, the one we originally looked at became available so we ended up with a new one, we are just a little poorer now. Happy with our purchase so far.

Congratulations! We have had ours since December 2013 and absolutely love it! We have taken six-week trips, but this is the first time we've spent three months in it. And the walls have not closed in on us! We left home on Dec 1st and will return the first week of March. Not even looking forward to it!

Congratulations! We have a 2014 3051s and love it. We have put 36k miles on it in 3 years. We have virtually had no issues with it. My only complaints are the couch and booth are not comfortable. I really need to make some modifications for comfort. The other is limited cargo capacity. You weight out before you cube out with all the available storage space. I never travel with full gas, water or waste tanks. That would put me over the weight limit. Good traveling!

You're going to have a ball, but you need to get it out of the driveway. We purchased our 2014 3051S new in 2015. We have thoroughly enjoyed ours for a couple of years now. We've cruised with kids and grand-kids throughout the west coast and northwest states. You can see that when we're on the road, Forrest is usually accompanied by his girlfriend Jenny ("Toad" Jeep Compass 4WD)

That is true on getting it out of the driveway. However it is Feb in Ohio so have a little while before we can take her out. She is in storage for time being but can't wait till it warms up enough to go.

Congrats on your Forester 3051S ... and welcome to the Forum. I have a 2017 Forester 2861DS ... I just love it. Spent 3 days at CW of Akron Ohio looking at everything from used to new. I love the outside TV and frig and also the sink.. keeps the bugs and kids from running in and out. Good luck [emoji1303] Safe travels everyone. [emoji591]

Yeah, looking forward to the weather warming up so we can take her out. Grew up camping in tents then pop up. Rented 5th wheel on trip to Sturgis couple years ago. Will be nice having our own and getting back out camping again.
