No deliverables. So disappointed in the service ethic of today's American companies. The controller failed and people are promising things that they aren't delivering. I am a healthcare leader and I'm so glad these companies and people aren't charged with the responsibility to take care of human lives. Service matters.
Sorry about your troubles.

Seems to be a common theme on these forums about both FR and CW. No one takes responsibility and lots of finger pointing about "the other guy". The advice to "do it yourself" is unfortunately a necessity because you can't depend on the dealer or manufacturer much of the time. It amazes me that we tolerate this on an $80K purchase.

That Leisure Travel Unity is looking better and better... (and yes, I'm aware of what they cost).

FYI, if you ever have to remove the motors to push the slide in, you will need TRAVEL RODS in place to secure it for travel. You may already have them. Mine were too short. Easy to make.
Looks like you're on your way to getting it repaired. Good luck and safe travels with your new MH.

Another update on our new 2017 Forester MBS 2401WS. First of all, thanks to Joshua from FR for helping us with info via private message ... great to hear from you and much needed advice from our FR lurker on this forum! So, Camping World has come through, sending a great tech out to our storage facility with 2 new slide controllers to replace the burned out one. The new one works great (the first one was indeed broken), BUT ... Still an issue that seems to lie somewhere in the circuitry between controller and system that gives a "parking brake not engaged" error, even when parking brake engaged. Bottom line: won't let the motors retract the slide with that error code. Tech helped us disengage motors in increments to get slide in. Vehicle now back to the dealer for further investigation.

I must say, even stuck in our storage a lot with the slide open, we LOVE this floor plan and everything about this unit! Cannot wait to get it weaned from the dealer and take it on new roads that are NOT directly connected between our store and the dealer in Houston suburbs! And I guess we are learning along the way to become more informed and responsible RV owners.

Cheers,
Kelly and MB

And by the way, we now know the 2401WS has a schwintek slide mechanism. So many new fun facts I have!
