Price was great. Glad I got one of the last ones for now.
Don't really like the Ford and the Mercedes gave me too many heeby geebies with
the added bonus of 30k more.
Buys a lot of gas and I now have WAY more capacity to tow and haul what I want.
Drives great also- nice and tight.
Pick it up tomorrow.
Congrats on your CHEVY!!

You had better check your facts. The Chevy has more horsepower, less torque and better mileage.

With the 2501ts weight the Chevy should have enough torque for the application. Your right about the HP, 327 I think. Wasn't worth worrying about. With the Chevy package you evidently don't have to dump a bunch of money in front suspension stuff. That would be my reason for the Chevy choice. Better mileage was a bonus. Coin flip if no suspension issues

I believe Chevy will be upgrading the 4500 next year (or 2017) with a newer cab body / front end look...more like the Silverado. It is way overdo for a facelift.

I have been driving Fords for 40 years but would not buy a Ford chassis based RV. The antiquated twin I beam suspension should have been dumped years ago. Matter of fact my '15 F350 4x4 solid front axle rides better than my '13 F250 2wd with the twin I beam did. The '13 rode like my '79 did. Wonders all over the road and every bump makes the steering wheel jump....

I will wait on a Chevy.

Thanks

Barely fits in the side yard.
Couple of issues so far.
Tall lamp not sealed properly- water intrusion, opened it up, dried it out- resealed but some of the LED's burned out- warranty issue.
The dealer prep put in the battery wrong on the cab radio remote unit- did not work.
Took some time to figure it out since they bent one of the tabs down. Need some time to figure out the radio/DVD/speakers (outside speakers on this unit).

So far- pretty good overall- just adding and changing stuff now.
