Oh look what I found...

That was one of my first projects after finding bits and pieces in the compartment for the winterizing/drain valves. I opened everything I could & removed larger bits, then vacuumed the remainder. I think the Sunseeker lost 20 lbs!
I've saved all the wandering hardware - there sure were a lot of extra (ahem, paid for) screws of various lengths & types.

I used to work at Terry Trailers in La Grande Oregon in the mid-70s. We left none of that stuff anywhere, and final inspection checked everything. It was demeaning to have to go to the end of the line & fix something that should have been right or clean to begin with. Plus, that took time away from your normal job.

Forest River should be doing a better job than that.

I found the slide controller down next to the pump as well - I couldn't get to it, so I rearranged the wiring and moved it to the wall above the water heater.

BTW, to winterize the water heater on a 2250/2251, all you need to do is open the bottom drawer all the way:

Our controller is under the slide and I don't think it would be possible to get at if there was a problem when fully extended. Question, when relocating the controller are most people splicing in new wire sections? There is no extra wire to move it but an inch or so.

for my situation(post #7) I had plenty of movability,..... the wiring came from the left side and they had pulled the controller too far to the right when they screwed it to the wall, I moved it back to the left about 10"-12" into the area of the opened door,......don't know what results you would get if you spliced wires

I had plenty of wire length as well. I had to reroute some from around drawer slides, but had more than plenty of wire to move the slide switch from the aft side of the wardrobe to the forward side, into the "Convenience Center":



As long as you use matching wire size and properly crimp or solder/heat shrink your connections, you can add wire.

I wasn't sure if wire length had anything to do with the motor sync. Did you route it under the floor, I think that's where our wires come out, it would be cleaner than stapling to the corners to get to a good usable location.

I had suggested to FR, 3 years ago, to add a vacuum system to their assembly line. I guess that suggestion fell on deaf ears.
OK guys, while you are looking for debris, take an old fashion yard stick and sweep it under your swintek slide and get all of the loose screws out. Look in the carpet at the edges and use a small screwdriver to kick up the screws in the cracks, especially where the slide may come in.
Remove panels to plumbing and get the junk.
Almost forgot. Do not get upset when you find a panel or wall and it looks as if they used a hatchet to cut access for electrical and plumbing. Smooth out the cut as best you can and pick the splinters off the cut. Puncture and possible electrical problem
Use you phone to take pictures behind panels and inaccessible places.
For these things to be CAD designed, I am really surprised so much fit up happens on the line. If I turned out finished designs and details that is reflected in the FR assembly, I would be out of a job.
Now, I love my Sunseeker but it frustrates me that FR can do better. FR makes a really good product but with a little change, they could make a really great product.

I was seriously thinking of sending my collection back in an envelope to the FR president. But I believe the DW threw it all out.

I'll get a pic of the new location in a day or so. Routing was easy, I routed the wires with the rest of the loom.

The controller was screwed to the wood next to the water pump - not visible at all.



With no wiring changes, here's the new location. Note the addition of wire-ties and a bit of tape to relieve the strain on the connections. Wouldn't want them pulling loose:
