OK FR friends need help again.

Traveling back home today using the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System it seem to have locked up twice pulling the CRV. It happened while stopping at a stop light. It released pretty quick but we were at a dead stop before we even got where we needed to stop at. We have it set on 5 but have lowered it to 2 to see if it helps. First long trip with the toad. Any input appreciated. Eve

Make sure the Patriot is level and set close to the seat without actually pushing on it. I've had that happen, too. You can set it at 1 or 2 if it keeps happening.

If it can rock forward while you are stopping it may be doing a false application. Be sure it is secure. Tie it to the seat if you have to. I added a velcro strap to ours to keep it from moving around.

Thanks for the help on this. Think we just needed to reduce the sensitivity some. Worked well after the adjustment. I think I'll add a strap also to make sure it stays put.

On the Patriot, changing the number on the remote control does not change the sensitivity. It changes the braking force.
