Order date 10/18
We ordered our Forester on 10/18. Got a call from the sales man today informing us our RV will be off the assembly line 12/16 then a couple of weeks to deliver to Florida, yata, yata yata. Does that sound about right

We are picking our Forester tomorrow. When we ordered it they estimated delivery on November 18th. It hit the dealers on the 17th. I think they hit it pretty close. Good luck.

It was right about 8-9 weeks. The order was placed on 9/23 and it was dropped off at the dealer on 11/17.
Thanks for the well wishes. This is something my wife and I have wanted for as long as I can remember. Now that we have retired and bought it I am very nervous! Go figure.

I know what you mean. My late wife wanted nothing to do with rving, but my lady friend is game and we're splitting everything down the middle. Kind of nervous myself, kind of a bucket list fullfiment.

I agree, I keep second guessing myself. We had a 5th wheel when our kids were young and currently have a TT that we are trading. We enjoy getting out and now get to take the grandkids. I will be fine once I have it, I hope!
Good to the two of you with yours.

I hadn't thought of this as a bucket list check-off. That makes it feel a little better. What model did you get? Ours is the 2651s.

We bought a small one 2251 with one slide, just the 2 of us, mostly weekenders, try to get away without a toad, metro areas aroud the southern states. Campsites with shuttles and public transp. and maybe rent a car in some instances, see how that works out.

Sounds like fun. Same here, mostly short trips maybe an occasional 1 - 1.5 weeks. Too much to see here in the Pacific Northwest for those long trips you read about here. I wish you the best.

Congratulations! If the unit gets driven through salty winter roads on the way make sure it is washed well underneath to get the salt out. Salt spray can get into things like jacks if you have them, generator, electrical connections etc. RVs are not as resistant to salt as cars are. My other RV, a toy hauler, was delivered thru salty roads and I have had rust and wiring corrosion issues even though I tried to wash it out well upon delivery.

I ordered a 2501 class C in early June and it was delivered in September, about 16 weeks.

It depends. As long as it does not have full body paint, it normally ships pretty close to the offline date.

Do you realize the factory is at the north end of Indiana a few miles south of Michigan? Chances are good for snow and salt there and on the way to Fla. during winter months.
