Outside Door Latch Problem

My spouse read through all the questions and answers, and followed many of the fix reports still no resolution. FYI finally discovered daylight between the door and wall in vicinity of one hinge. We could see the hinge was bent, after removing it the door easily closed and locked. Waiting for new hinge to arrive and will install. Thanks for all of the conversations, even though they are from a few years ago they were VERY HELPFUL.
