Owners manual

We purchased a new forester 2401ws in February. We did not get any manuals that are associated to the RV. Is this normal?

Yes and no. You will not find a manual for your exact brand because RV manufacturers do not provide these any more. What you should have received was a generic Forest River manual with a general discussion of the various systems in your unit along with manuals from each manufacturer of the various appliances installed. Did you not get anything?? I'd complain to your dealer if that is the case.

Yes, it's normal. Nearly all RV manufacturers only provide a generic owners manual with No model-specific or brand-specific information.
That and a collection of manuals for the important items, such as fridge, oven, furnace,a/c, converter and so on.
I just checked Highland Ridge RV's(makers of Open Range)owners manuals and they are generic too.

The manual FR usually provided for the RV is so generic it is virtually useless. You should have received a build sheet from the dealer that lists the manufacturer, model # and serial # of all the OEM items installed in the unit. If not call the dealer and demand it. A build sheet is shipped with every unit. If they will not provide it, then next rainy day spend a while in the unit opening all the appliances and recording this information. You can then go to the manufacturers web site and download the manuals for your specific items. Keep a copy of the build list in the unit and at home as it will be invaluable when ordering parts or asking questions.
