passenger load for 3011ds forester
Can anyone tell me what is the passenger load for my motorhome? I have a forester 3011ds. We were looking on taking 5 adult camping and was wondering if the weight would be an issue. The total weight of all 5 passengers is about 900lbs.

How many seat belts does it have. That's how many passengers you can carry. Weight is an other matter.

If you have 4 seats then one will have a long ride on the toilet.
Seriously, I don't think you have anything to worry about. There should be a sticker on the outside somewhere telling you the "cargo capacity should not be more than xxxx amount."
It should look similar to the yellow one below:

Mine has seat belts for 7 passengers. 2 @ table, 2@couch, one seat across from couch and the 2 front seats.

You'll be fine. We often take 7 in our 3010 sun seeker.

I have a 2017, 3011 I have had 8 adults in mine on a road trip. Just remember to remind everyone that they can't take everything they own with them. Remember to keep your tanks drained and if you want to cut back the weight a bit, don't fill your water tanks until you get to where you are going...unless your staying at a camp ground.

You do have enough seat belts for the 5. My 3011 has a carrying capacity of 1606 with full propane and fuel, no water and empty grey and black tanks. You will have somewhere around 700 # left for everything else so pack lightly.
I had mine weighed ready to camp, less my DW and the 3 shelties and I had very little left. I am pretty sure I am a bit overloaded (except for the axles) until I get down a little bit on fuel.
If you are towing 4 down, I would suggest carrying any excess weight in the TOAD

I am sorry that I like to be legal! God forbid you get in an accident. I put seat belts in my 58 Ford in 1966. But, that's just me. To each their own idea on safety.

My 2016 3011 has 2 seat belts for front passengers, 2 for couch and 3 for U dinette. Technically I could carry 5 passengers, me and my wife but that would take a lot of re configuring of loads. To do this we would have to do the following,
- All tanks would have to be empty
- Gas tank would have to be no more than 3/4 full
- No water, soda, booze on board, except for a few bottles to cover the trip. We would have to buy it at our destination
- Refrigerated/Frozen Food would be bought at destination except for leftovers. We have a double wide unit so that could be a lot of weight.
- No Firewood
- Removing some odds & ends
- All Passengers would have to pack minimally.
This assumes we are not bringing our toad and average adult weights, so it can be done.
However, if you tow a car, a lot of things can be transferred to that vehicle which allows more to be brought onboard the RV. In our case, I would never travel any great distance with that number on board. I.e. Tomorrow I'm taking the RV and 5 passengers to an Eagles game tailgate which is only 40 miles round trip. Also, normally it's just the two of us in the RV traveling and friends/family meet us at the destination so we don't have to go through all these gyrations.
