Picking up 2186DS from RV Wholesalers tomorrow!

Hi,

Been on the road since Saturday. Great trip so far. Just over 2000 miles covered, 300 to go to get to Lakeview Ohio. Day 1 from So Cal to Eagle Colorado was really nice. Yesterday we went through Eastern Colorado and Kansas. Thought I left the hot weather behind in California but it was in the mid 90's all day through Kansas. Had dinner in KC last night at Arthur Bryant's BBQ. Long wait, but still good. Coming up on Indianapolis now. Going to stay with a good friend north of Columbus tonight. Pick up and PDI tomorrow at 9:30 at RV Wholesalers!

Scott

Hi Dave,

We are still here at the dealership. It has gone great! We went over everything yesterday and found a couple issues. The biggest is that one of the levelers (Big Foot Automatic) has a problem and a part needed. They should get it in and installed in the next hour.

Other than that, one speaker was hooked up to the outdoor speakers, the door frame was slightly bent, and those have been fixed. There is a couple small gouges in the leather on the side of the couch. All have been photographed and documented for future warranty.

All major appliances work great, the cameras all work, and the overall coach looks great. All wood work is good, and all doors and drawers are solid.

There are USB connectors all over the coach which is great, and all the TV's, DVD players and sound system works fine.

Checked out the rest while camping last night. Fridge is cooling fine and furnace works great. Hot water is HOT! Temp last night down to 43, and we will likely see much lower on our trip back. Fall has arrived here!

It does have a slight alignment issue as the wheel needs to be turned to the left about 15 degrees to keep it driving straight. They have already got approval from FR for an alignment up to $250. If I can get it done at a place on the way home I will.

I am really pleased with the overall build.

Hopefully home by Sunday, Monday at the latest!

Scott

Very nice Scott!

Looks like our Forester's bigger sister, she's beautiful!
No slide on the passenger side I see. That's good as I keep bumping into mine and added foam pipe insulators to the edges when opened.
That alignment is important. You don't want to be fighting it all the way home and cause unnecessary tire wear.
It may be fall back there, but it's still summer here on the California coast. I think yesterday we hit 100 or close to it here in the SFV .
Safe trip home!
Dave

Looks like our forester's little sister. :-) These coaches are the best looking class c's on the market. Is this on a 2016 chassis. I noticed you have the amber porch light and not the new led unit.

I added an avatar for now. I don't want to post pictures of the motorhome in the driveway. Wait until I go to Rincon in a week or two and Yosemite in November.

Thanks Dave.

39 this morning in western Indiana. Furnace and all appliances continue to work fine. Only remaining issues are 1 missing screw and the alignment. However, it has calmed down and isnt too bad.

Rolling through Smithborough Illinois right now.

Jim,

It is 2016 all through. All lights inside are led except under stove. All outside are led but the porch and rear running lights across top. I havent checked them closely to see the bulb type.

My dinette is all leather, no fabric, and I really like the new roller shades.

Jim, where you from anddo you have a shop. My brother Mark was really into Pro Mod vw racing for a while and we have been into vw's since 74. Just wondered if we crossed paths.

, I have changed my porch light and stove light to Led. Both were really hot, especially the stove light which also put out very little light. Now, more light, no heat and very little amp draw.

Hi,

Saw that you did in another post. I'll put that on the list.

Got 7.3 MPG today over 600 plus miles through Indiana and Missouri. Ran 65 to 70 most of the way towing my Jeep Liberty. Heavy cross winds all day.

Stopped for the night in Topeka Kansas after having an amazing meal at Stroud's in Kansas City. They have pan fried chicken just like my Mom used to make. It was out of this world! Put it on your travel list.

Going on to Denver tomorrow.

Scott

Jim,

Ever deal with Topline in Anaheim, or if you are an old timer Truk-n-Bug in Stanton?

Scott- Do you have to be back at work Monday? If so, are you're cutting it close?
Must be a real fight with the wind. 65-70 mph towing, you aren't going to try that here are you?
Wait, nobody does 55 here in California the legal max for towing anything.
