We almost went Clay and switched at the last minute after walking the lot and looking at them side by side. Also, the Indigo looked better by our grey stucco house. Why are you dropping the name?

I think the coach looks a lot better without forester all over it. I wanted it on just the rear but they said all or nothing. I chose clay because the motorhome garage is beige. lol

I do think the forester logo on the full body paint is tastefully done but generally, I agree about logos.

Would you buy a $100,000.00 Mercedes with the words "Mercedes" posted on all four sides?

That is a beautiful coach...How about an inside picture at the headboard. Just wondering if they used the 3050 headboard system.

Looking good GL1800rider. We are picking up our 3171DS tomorrow, if all goes well and there are no problems when we do the walk thru with our tech.

I will post some interior pictures tomorrow when the light is better. We were hoping they would use the 3050/51 headboard as well but they did not put any up at all. Not a deal breaker for us, I can always add one.

Dealer prefers everybody spend a night at their lot. Glad i did as the grey water 2/3 sensor was bad and had to be replaced this morning. Tank was showing 2/3 full when it was empty.

GL, did our walk thru today. Couldn't take it home, bad slide motor on the passenger side. Been on the forum a couple of months now and I see that the slide motors and gears seem to be a common problem. Also curious why they use two different systems on the 2 slide 3171. The drivers side uses one motor and if it dies, you can hand crank it in. If you have problems with the passenger slide, which has two motors, there is no manual crank. Our tech old us you have to disconnect the motors and you better have 4 large people that can push the slide back in or else you're screwed. They thought they may have it fixed sometime next week. We'll see.

That really sucks, especially have to wait and make another trip. I think most of the problems with the Swintek slides have been the gears getting out of sync and not motor failure but hey, if it is mechanical it can break. I really think they are not doing a good job of inspecting the units after they are built. There was a difference like day and night between the one we refused and the one we just brought home yesterday.

Our 3011 has two types of slides as well but the Swintek is just for the bed so there is not much weight for it to push. Be sure to keep us posted and hope you get everything fixed so you can enjoy it.

Luckily, we only live 15 minutes away from our Dealer. Will keep you posted.

We used two different because the Schwintecs are easier to work on (when people know what they are doing), install and are lighter weight. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to seatbelt test every one...so we've been making running changes converting to the "in-wall" slide outs. This also allows you to have tighter tolerances around the slide room (less gaps). Lots of advantages...but anything new is not withouts its growing pains.

So Brian, does our unit have the tighter tolerance Schwintec? It's the 3171DS 2016, just arrived from the factory last week.

GL1800Rider...I got confirmation that my 3011 will have the headboard and egress window from the 3051. It will also have the black out blinds. Now all I have to do is wait...and wait...and wait some more (due in middle of August).

That is really a nice headboard in the 3051. I will have to see if they "owe" me one. Have not had time this week to snap any interior pictures as we have family coming from out of town but will asap.

Quick question GL, did you get two sets of keys with your unit?
