Power Adapter Connector
I recently discovered that I have a second 25' power cord which was tucked away in storage in the garage. Both of my cords plug directly into my Forest River Forester 2701DS and then into a campground power supply.
What I'd like to do is be able to connect the two cords should I ever need to for 50' of cord.
I've been looking for an adapter to do this and think I've found one which will work.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BHGYAL6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3NFA 799UDRAKZ&coliid=I2P3CCURL5UYYL
I'm concerned that it says this adapter is for a Generator.
Will this adapter work to just connect my two cords without any problems?
If not, can someone recommend a different adapter.
Thanks for any help!
Vicki

That adapter would work.

THANKS so much!
I was 99% sure the connections were correct, it was mainly the word "generator" which had me baffled.
I truly appreciate your help!

The word 'generator' is used because that is typically the application for this device... for connecting your shore power cord to a generator's twist lock plug.
It can be used to connect two shore power cords together although I doubt many have two such cords like you. Your situation is unique.
Most folks who need to extend their shore cord do so with a 30A male to 30A female such as this...

Why would it need to have the screw collar?
A generator twist lock doesn't have a screw collar connection and the plug stays twisted together just fine without a collar.
While I would agree an adapter with a screw collar would be the 'cat's meow', I have never seen such an adapter and see no reason not to hook the two shore power cords up as suggested.

I just double checked my two cords, and the new one has a screw collar on it, but the "just found" cord is missing the screw collar, but the connections are identical. So, I do believe the adapters will work.
THANKS for making me do a double check though. I do want to be right the first try (since it usually takes me two when I don't ask!)

I do have three of those now in 50' length each. Plus with the added 25' cord, I now will have 200' of 30Amp cord.
I was recently at a dog show and was parked WAY out in a field and the temperature was close to 100 F. They had these little 30 Amp power gadgets (don't know what they were called (satellite power, maybe???)) throughout the field, but 100's of feet apart and a long way from where I was parked. With six dogs in the motorhome, I didn't want to be without power. So, I've ordered numerous 30 Amp extension cords since that day! Hopefully that will never happen to me again!
Thanks again so much for all your help and explanations!
Vicki

WOW... just be cautious!
200' of 30A extension cords (with multiple connections to add resistance) is NOT a good thing!

I am always careful when it concerns my furbabies!
I also hope I never have to use all those cords!
Thanks again,
Vicki
