Protection for window sills and wood near door?

One of the reasons we bought a motorhome was for the ease of traveling with our dogs. They like to look out the windows from the couch and the dinette, and I want to put something on the wooden sills to avoid any nail marks. Sure, I could train the dogs to stay off the couch and dinette, but they really enjoy looking out the window. (BTW, they are in crates when we are moving.)

Maybe plexiglass or something? They are small dogs, so I'm not contending with Newfoundland-sized paws.

Also, I'm wondering if people put plexiglass or something protective on the back of the dinette near the door. We have the 3171 floor plan and I really don't want the wood to get battered from carrying things in and out the door.

Many of these things are self-adhesive - just cut to size and stick on. They aren't the most elegant necessarily, but a darn spot nicer than a dog scratched door or window. *been there!*
