Removing ceiling AC grills

Has anyone removed the ceiling AC grills on your rig? How do you do it without causing damage? Mine have the adjustable louvers and spin all the way around.

If you look up inside vent you will see the tabs I used a butter knife between the vent and the outer rim a gently pried them off once you get one side to snap loose the rest of it comes off very easy

A tool set that has helped me immensely when it comes to prying on plastic things is the 5 Piece Trim and Molding tool set from Harbor Freight. They are basically plastic pry bars of various shapes. Being plastic themselves, they don’t mar or gouge your work piece. They’re strong; I haven’t broken one yet.

Thanks for this! I have to clean ours because it has some broken or leftover styrofoams in it ��

I remove ours monthly in our ducted system, just pull them straight down. Our intake ducts, we have 4 in the living room/kitchen area and 2 in the bedroom, do not have movable louvers but do have foam filters that we clean monthly.

The ducts where the AC air comes out do have movable louvers and these we have not removed.
