ride control

Has anyone added a Blue Ox Tigertrack or anything like that to control sway and rear end hop, thinking of getting one myself, like to know how it worked out.

I bought the Henderson rear trac bar. Looks like it's suppose to do the same thing as the BluOx. It made a major difference in handling when being passed by large trucks. Probably best modification I've made!

Poppytoymaker, I have a 2013 3011 DS; fixed my ride a little at a time; did not get really good until I put 75 PSI in the front 80 PSI in the rear 75 PSI in the air bags. Added the adjustable bushings and had the front wheels aligned to the specs that can be found in this forum. Added rear sway control and a Safe-T-Steer. Now it handles like my Ford F- 150. Just got back from a 645.2 miles round trip from my house to Yosemite and back. Uphill, downhill, wind, semi trucks, rain and narrow mountain roads; the RV handled it all effortlessly while getting 8.5 MPG overall for the whole trip. BTW Best ride and mileage since we have owned the MH, currently has just over 9,100 miles purchased new in September 2012. I would recommend doing one thing at a time; each thing I did resulted in an improvement in handling. I just was not satisfied until the control was similar to the many other vehicles I have owned and driven over the past 52 years of driving many types of vehicles including cars trucks, Semi's, military trucks and ambulances, police vehicles, Class A motorhomes one other Class C that I bought in 1973 and towed a boat for many years to name just a few. I was very disappointed with the way this vehicle came from the factory it felt OK on my short test drive but once loaded and on the road for the first time in my life I felt unsafe driving this vehicle. So here we are about $2,000.00 later and the lion has been turned into a lamb. Good Luck with your journey to perfection. Tom

Hey Tom, I drove an 18 wheeler fo 42 yrs and now I know how it feels on the other end of the spectrum. Just got back from Savanah a week ago and the trip up and down 95 was less than enjoyable. We're going to Richmond the end of June so I want to get the Blue Ox or the Henderson installed before the trip. There's no dedicated kit for the 2015 Chev.4500 so when I bring it into local Campers World for oil change it has to be measured for right size bar.

Which is better, the Henderson Track bar or the Blue Ox? Want to install on our 3171DS that is on order.
