I add about a cup of bleach to my hose when I also connect to my freshwater inlet.. We don't drink water from the campground and only use there water for showers, dishes, cleaning and flushing..

Don't you have something like this to sanitize through somewhere on the outside of the trailer? I have yet to see an TT without one or something that allows you to fill the potable tank

If your worried about adding bleach directly to the tank, fill FW tank about 1/4 full, disconnect hose and pour a cup of bleach into the source end of the hose, reconnect to the source and continue filling the tank.
Be sure to run that solution through all lines in TT and let sit for 6-12 hours. It is recommended that you bypass the WH when sanitizing, but if water has been sitting in the WH for some time you may want to sanitize that as well.

I can't tell from your picture but yes , I do have standard female hose bibs that I connect my freshwater hoses to.. It's just easier for me to put bleach in the hose before I connect to my
System.. I do have a whole house filter that I could add a cup of Bleach to but using the hose is easier..

Waiter21. Sorry for the confusion but I did clarify that I got a half gallon of the bleach water mix solution into the tank - 1 cup of bleach mixed in 1 gallon of water.

EZ Way

I bought a cheap whole house filter housing (Home Depot / Lowes) and a couple of 3/4" plumbing to garden hose adapters (one male, one female). Hook a short hose between the housing and your intake, hook up the housing to fresh water supply, mix a batch of chlorine/water and put it in the filter holder (no filter) and away you go!! Periodically stop and put another batch of chlorine/water solution. Another more complicated way: if you have an outdoor shower that has garden hose fittings . . . mix a batch of chlorine/water, put it in a container, put the antifreeze / winterizing tube in the container, turn your valves to pull from that hose, screw the shower / garden hose to the fresh water inlet on the camper.

I use this little item, that I found at Tractor Supply. The sprinkler head comes off and I attach my RV hose there. The house hose goes on the right end. Put in the bleach and turn on the valve. This also sends bleach water through the RV hose (but not for long, unless you interrupt the flow).
