Satelitte Antenna connection on 3051S
I will be installing my Dish receiver in my RV over the next couple of days and was wondering which coach servicing cable connector do I attach my portable Winegard satellite antenna to on my Forester 3051S?

Not sure how yours is set up. On our 3121, I ran a new designated satellite inlet in the electrical bay, then up through a cabinet where the box sat. If I remember right, you can't use the park cable inlet since it runs to the cable connection with the antenna signal booster. I don't have any pictures with me since I'm at work, but there is a way to utilize that line by bypassing the booster. Check out this link for one way of making it work:
RV Satellite Cable Receptacle Rewiring | ModMyRV
On previous units, I've run a designated line if it didn't already have one, then run the satellite box output into the park cable line so you have Dish or DirecTV on all of the TV's in the coach. Hope some of this helps.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

Thanks John for the information. As soon as the weather improves, I plan on taking my signal generator out to my MH and run down the cables and build a schematic for future reference. I don't think many 3051S owners have broached this subject yet on their own. I just like doing these things myself in case I have a problem on the road, I can fix it with minimal downtime.

This is the satellite schematic for new models. This was a fairly recent change...last 6 months or so in adding the loop.

Thank a bunch for the schematic! This is exactly what I was searching for and FR comes through once again....

Well, don't get too excited. If yours does not add the loop, you would need to figure that one out. The other options are...
1. run into a switch box. The switch box does not play well with sat signals.
2. run into an antenna booster. You would have to make sure the booster is not on. A loop like we designed would be best. Someone on here posted a DIY method for this.

Thanks again for the additional information! My Forester has a switch box with the two TV setup. I don't see an antenna booster mounted on the wall like in my other Class C unless it is hidden really good. I didn't receive any reference material on the switch box so anything I know about it has been through trial and error!
I plan on hooking up my Winegard Portable Satellite antenna to my Forester and installing a receiver for the overthecab TV.
Do you have a schematic with the switch box on the 3051S?

I do not...but yours is still pretty easy. It's a boosted box, so no separate antenna booster. On the inlet to the box, you need to pull that and plug it into your receiver. Then feed what you need from the receiver back into the box or to the TV directly.
