Sewer hose storage on MBS
Our new 2401 has a hatch and storage tube for the sewer hose but the diameter is too small to fit evens 3” hose with connectors. What is the solution? External tube? Bag?

I mounted a 5" fence post tube on the rear bumper with caps on both ends. I put a plastic gutter inside of it to act as a slide to slide the hoses out. It can hold 3 sewer hoses with their fittings. When I get time, I am going to paint it black to blend in with the bumper.
On a previous trailer, I mounted the same rig to the frame under the trailer with the cap at the sewer fitting. This made it very handy for dumping the tanks.

Good plan, but motorhomes don’t have the same kind of bumpers and often don’t have clearance underneath.
Which reminds me- I need to make new ones for my new trailer!

Hose storage.
My bumper storage had same issue.
I found the ends of the hose had some tabs sticking out preventing it from going in. These are not the mounting lugs.
I filed drown enough so it fits fine now.
I know there are different hose ends from each manf.

5 INCH PVC with cemented end cap on one end and on the access end an adaptor with sewer clean out will not only hold the hose but adaptors. wish I knew of that before I did none in 4 inch... but.

I purchased a sewer hose that has caps for both ends. After every use I flush the sewer hose with fresh water (using a different hose than my water hose), put the caps on and place in a plastic bin that I keep in one of the storage bins. I’ve never had a smell problem. I use one of those collapsible hoses, which I toss into the same bin and takes no additional space.

I believe in the KISS approach.
Rinse the hose.
Fasten the ends together.
Store hose in compartment.

Purchased an adjustable tube with hinged doors on both ends. Was able to reach entire width of coach just behind stabilizers. Used mounting screws and industrial zip ties. Carry 15 here & 6 ft in factory tube which is only a couple feet deep. What were they thinking. This is on a 2401 W MBS.

Sewer hose storage on MBS
On our MBS 2401 - it came with a hose that has a 90 degree end with an open/closed lever that would not fit in any tube - Kind of industrial looking. LOL, it didn’t fit anywhere except in a milk crate in the forward drivers side compartment - we honestly don’t care because it’s the best hose we’ve ever had!
