Slide side seals

We recently picked up our 2016 Forester 3051s. When we extend the slide, the slide side seals never completely roll out during extension or roll in during retraction. Is this a problem that should be addressed or just left alone?
I was told today that some people put adhesive backed Velcro (hook or loop?) on the slide side panel to help the seal with the direction change.
Has anyone done anything like this or is this a none issue? Thanks for the feedback.

Gilm, check my post under Modifications, titled Slide Seal Flap "Flappers".
It's a mod I made using a previous posters info.
Works like a charm in orienting the slide seals the correct way.

I think using velcro would be a mistake only because, even using the "tooth" side would attract and hold dirt, dust, and be a pain to clean. The moulding I used has worked perfectly during the 2 trips we've taken since I installed it.
Be aware, once you start to place it and put it down, it's on. You can't remove it without damaging the 3M tape. Won't hurt the side of the slide, just the tape.

I used to carry a 3 foot piece of 3/4 inch dowel rod to flip my seals out. Until I had to set up in a rain storm several months ago. Remembered the post by another member and did the mod I posted about.
Nothing wrong with a yardstick, dowel, or whatever you use. This is just a simple mod to take care of a problem.
