Slider: Rear Mattress Snaps

As there is a rear slider, the back mattress slides over the top of the forward mattress. I noted that the back mattress has two snaps on it (which I assume is to cause the mattress to slide in and out with the slider) but there is nothing to snap it to. Are there suppose to be two snaps on the back wall of the slider to attach the mattress to?

No. there used to be, but the snaps never held. Mattress supplier just left them on, been meaning to have them removed or try velcro instead. Velcro is a bit cumbersome as well though.
