Squeak from Entry Door

Has anyone had, and solved, a squeak from their entry door while traveling? I've put silicone on the rubber seal and it stopped it for a trip or two but it comes back. I was thinking about putting some teflon tape around the door frame.

If the silicone spray worked, you might consider the Danko silicone paste which will stay in place.

Wouldn't a paste type substance would collect dirt and dust after a while?

It might, but even with dust it would still be quiet. What have you got to loose? Don't know how you expect Teflon tape to stick and even if it did, it will wear thru.

It was just a suggestion. Nothing mandatory!

PTFE (Teflon) adhesive tape is available on the internet. It's available in many thicknesses and with different backings. I was hoping someone had some experience with it.
