static pop from turn signal camera???

I placed a deposit on a 2014 3011ds today. I took it for a test drive and when I used the turn signals a static pop sound would come from the rearview mirror/camera monitor. It sounded like a stereo amp turning on and the speakers popping. Is this normal for the side view/back up camera system? I'm not sure if I should pull my deposit and go for a different 3011ds. If it's not normal I don't want to purchase a unit that has spliced and rewired turn signals and cameras from the dealer right out of the gate. Most mechanics use quick splices and I don't want to deal with the electrical problems that quick splices can cause down the road.

Is the pop sound normal? Its no louder than the normal click, click sound from the turn signals.

I'm doing my PDI this Thursday. Does anyone have the side view cameras that are activated by the turn signals? If so do you get a sounds from the rearview monitor as the turn signal blinks?

Will, I can only speak for my RV. I do not have the noise that you indicate. Sounds like the turn signal relay may be introducing stray RF into your system. I would say this is defiantly not normal.

Make sure the gain on the subwoofer is not turned all the way up. Even my home theater system when I switched receivers (and the sub was going out), the gain broke and it was all the way up so when it sensed a signal change there is a power change and it made a serious thump.

Im not sure how the hole system works. I only took it on a 15 minute test drive. All I know is it has the color camera and monitor. Their might be an on switch for the monitor but when I did my test drive the monitor was off in drive, on in reverse and on with the turn signals. I only heard the pop sound from the monitor mounted on the windshield when the turn signals wear flashing. The pop sound was not to loud but it was in time with the turn signal relay.

Im doing my PDI in the morning. I hope all goes well. I gave the dealer a small punch list to complete before the PDI. Hope I don't find any other problems as we really want to bring it home, but told the dealer we will not give final payment until all repairs are made or parts are shown to be on order.

As for the pop sound the dealer called me to day and said they are going to replace the system. They spent the day working on it and after they had a few phone calls with the product technicians from the manufacture they said it's a bad monitor.
